Double Trouble

 We planned on visiting Boothbay Railway Village with the Connards. We knew Thomas weekend was the following weekend and would miss it. We did now know that we would see Thomas traveling down the highway on the way to the station.  We watched him get unloaded and hid away in a barn somewhere.  

I also had a give up my theory that Day with Thomas is a total hoax. I thought you would go to a railroad where they just hung a grey plastic face on a train they already had and called it Thomas.  Thomas is real though, he is a very useful engine. 

Men and their Pier

 Karl and Baer did some surveying of Karl's new Pier.  

They took a break to contemplate life. 

Then they took a break to do some pier twerking.

Rocket Central

Our family has a tradition of launching rockets at various holidays weather permitting.  

Well, we have discovered the mecca of rocket enthusiasts.  Karl, Cheryl, Baer and I attended a rocket launching in Amesbury, MA.  I had no idea what was in store for us.  It makes the BullPup look a little lame I have to say....

Reading Faire

I don't know why the town of Reading insists on adding an 'e' to the end of their street fair. So we went to the Street Faire where we saw a doge show and a bulle you could ridee.

Ducks on the Beach

I tried to get one more beach day in before the fall weather rolled in. The Marblehead beach was having a festival, the duck was their main event promoter.

Jack-a-lope

Where can you sit in a chair that is a tractor seat with guns as arm rests? The Winchester Pub in Portland, CT that's where. What a fabulous creation!

Strummin on an Old Dirty Bucket

We didn't stay for the music portion of cider fest although the instrument selection was intriguing. Most of the other instruments were wheeled up on a broken baby carriage. Pretty creepy.
