Next Door

The Acton Science museum is the same pass as the children's museum and was way better in our opinion.  Too bad we got there 20 minutes before it closed. We'll have to go back one day.

Out of the House

In anticipation of being stuck inside with the pending snow we took a ride to the Acton Children's Museum.

All Aboard!  When asked if he had a ticket Charlie said yes.

Snow Round 1

Baer made sure the snowblower was working properly for the Blizzard on the horizon.

Thanks!

Thanks for inviting us Auntie Gretchen and Thanks mom for braving the drive down with me.

Thomas… I hear him!

After some lunch we walked over to see the Thomas show.  Charlie could hear the subway trains near by and the whole walk was saying " Thomas…I hear him!"  He got pretty into the show after about 10 minutes.  Then he and Gretchen waited in line to see Thomas but as soon as they got to the stage it was a no go.  I said " you waited 30 min for your picture with Thomas and you are getting your picture with Thomas" so that was that.  He is as far away from it as he could get . I guess we won't be in any rush to go to Disney to see the characters.

Ice, Trains, and Driving Rain

We had plans to meet Auntie Gretchen in the Bronx to see the train exhibit at the botanical gardens.  It was quite the day.

The display was pretty impressive and not that crowded so that was nice.

Nacho Libre

My Dad came up to watch Charlie while Grace was closed on some VERY cold days. Good thing they had time to work on Charlie's mexican wrestling persona.

Giant Tank = Giant Ramps to run on.

We went to see ( ran up and down) the giant tank twice.  We saw the turtles getting fed and the hit of the trip was watching the scuba divers in the tank.

Waiting for the "scuber divers" to come back
After this we had some lunch in the cafe and went home. The line to get in was about 75 people long by this point. We certainly timed it right.

Touch Tank

The shark and ray touch tank was really cool. Charlie had no interest in touching anything but we liked to look.

Seeing the Seals. It was actually pretty warm out on Friday so going to see the seals outside wasn't too bad. It also  gave Charlie another opportunity to run around full speed wherever he wanted.

Big Event

The big event of the week was going to the New England Aquarium.  Besides the fact that Charlie thinks every place he goes to is a playground to run full speed around in it was pretty successful.

The Penguins were getting fed. We got there around 9:00 when it opened which was perfect.

The rest of Vacation

After lots of crazy days around Christmas we spent most of the week playing with our new toys. We did some baking and I must have gotten pretty desperate since I let him start mixing his playdoh colors.
