Photography Class

So I started taking a photography class at www.snapshotsofagoodlife.com  I have assignments each week and this week Erin and Ella got to be my "cooperative" subjects. It's amazing how many activities can occur in only 1 hour.

New Friend

We found this guy outside the restaurant we went to for lunch.  He was very excited for a belly rub.

We found this guy in the African mammals exhibit.

Next Stop....Outer Space

 The Solar System exhibit was next.  Very educational.  

Finding 80 Degrees

As soon as we got to the museum we knew the exhibit we had to visit.  It was the only one that would be 80 degrees on a 20 degree day.  The butterfly conservatory was just the place. We even got to see one emerging from its cocoon. 

The Big Apple

I went down to NJ to visit Gretchen and we had a whirlwind (and chilly) day in New York.  

First adventure was the subway. 

Winter Warmer Tradition

Even though it was 60 degrees out it has been our tradition to make some Hot Chocolate on our hike...okay, so we've only done it once before....but still.  Here are the photos of our last winter excursion. 

Warm Weather Hike

Dan and I headed up to New Hampshire for a hike on the warm 60 degree January afternoon.  

We hiked Mount Ununnunooc (i'm guessing at the spelling) outside Manchester NH.

It was a great day. I'm also starting my photography class this week so maybe my pictures will get better soon! 

Brewmaster

 Dan was the brewmaster and he was testing the alcohol percentage  5.0% 

 Dad was the assistant brew master because he was in charge of all the transfers between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Baer was the master capper.  

3 Generations of Brewing

Baby Grandma was on hand to supervise and hold the end of the spigot. Our next batch should be called Baby Grandma Brew. 

Holiday Brew

 Dan started brewing beer when he was home for Thanksgiving so at Christmas it was time to bottle the Holiday Brew.

 Activity #1: Opening presents ( that have to be returned because I bought the wrong thing)
