Reading Faire

I don't know why the town of Reading insists on adding an 'e' to the end of their street fair. So we went to the Street Faire where we saw a doge show and a bulle you could ridee.

Ducks on the Beach

I tried to get one more beach day in before the fall weather rolled in. The Marblehead beach was having a festival, the duck was their main event promoter.

Ocean House Redone

The ocean house has been all redone. It looks great, maybe we 'll stay there for our 10th anniversary.

Watch Hill

We had a fantastic lunch in Watch Hill at the Ocean House for our anniversary. It was a beautiful day and a great way to end the summer.

Fishing

We headed into Dan's boat one day for some fishing. We successfully caught some bait fish, but the bigger ones were a bit allusive.

Play Play Play

Having all the little kids there was a bit overwhelming in the house but outside they had a lot of room to run around, which was much better for all of us.

Baby Shower/ Hurricane

I was home for Lindsay and Justin's shower which got a little rained out, luckily it wasn't hurricaned out since they missed it by one day.

Jack-a-lope

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom! I hope you have a great day. Thanks for always being there and being supportive of our crazy adventures ( that goes for Danny, Kevin and Baer too) We know you worry about us and we wouldn't want any one else being in charge of that job :) Love you!

Wild Wild West

Where can you sit in a chair that is a tractor seat with guns as arm rests? The Winchester Pub in Portland, CT that's where. What a fabulous creation!

Sarah vs. Irene

I went to go pick Dan up as he prepared for Irene, Sarah was well prepared and was looking good before and after Irene.

Secret...not so secret

The kids were all running into this tree yelling how it was a secret tree, but since every kid in the park found it, I'm not so sure it was a secret.

Pine Cone Army and Ella

I spent a lot of days at the end of the summer with Ella and Erin, one trip was to the DeCordova sculpture park. I'm sure to Ella it looked like a giant play ground, she is one very cultured little girl.

Smooth Sailing

We had a great time in Bermuda! It was smooth sailing all the way home!

Dress Test

I got to test out my bridesmaid dress and Baer got to test out his tux for the last dinner on the boat.
Good thing I tested it out too....I need to get it hemmed more.

We went to Horseshoe Beach and found some extraordinary examples of limestone layers that have been moved creating an unconformity. I picked this science filled post for the first day of school. Let the science begin!

Golfing Baer

Baer got to play golf which he was pretty excited about, he didn't quite miss the weather you can see rolling in behind him.

Flipper

Gretchen got to met Flipper in Bermuda, we all got quite the show while we watched.

Land Ho!

We docked in Hamilton and took a little tour of the downtown. I loved the Bermudian dress code of men in shorts and knee socks for work. Very cool, I wonder if it would fly here?
