Biergarten and Babies

The baby contingent of our parties is growing and while the babies were playing on a blanket. The boys were playing in the Biergarten.

What is it called if it's not really a shower?

This past weekend Baer and I had a shower at my parents house. I have emphasized ever since I've started going to showers how boring they are. Well this one was NOT boring! It was perfect!

Garden Update

Our garden is growing! We have used some dill, cilantro, parsley. Now my challenge is to learn how to cook things that use all my new ingredients.

Toned Down

Flag Day parties have become a bit calmer in recent years. No one seems to mind though.

She's a Grand Old Flag

Grand Old Flag is by far my favorite patriotic song. It is just so uplifting! We did not sing that this past weekend, but we did celebrate flag day in style with bocce, beer, and a fire pit at Amy and Chris' house.

Purse Party

I took Erin, Gretchen, and Nicole to design purses for their bridesmaid gifts. I stole the idea from Erin, and since it meant that she got to make a purse she didn't mind one bit.

Happy Birthday Baer!

Baer's Birthday was on Saturday and we spent the weekend up in Maine. We were treated to a lovely lunch near the harbor. Happy Birthday!

Sandy Neck

On Sunday, pre-Canadian forest fire smoke we got to drive out onto Sandy Neck beach. We parked our car at one of Baer's friends houses (of course he knows someone who lives near the guard house) and rode out in Chuck's big blue jeep with Alli and the girls. We didn't get a shot of the jeep from this trip but here it is from a previous excursion.

On the way home we got to ride back in the trailer and hear all the comments about the giant, excessively accessorized jeep that was pulling it both before and after Chuck made the sound system play ice cream truck music.

Godparents

Baer and I went down to visit Chuck and Alli on the Cape for Memorial Day weekend and were asked to be Kendall's godparents. Of course we enthusiastically accepted and cannot wait to make it official.
